Merry Christmas!

Today, we visited the Enchanted Forest at the Pink Palace. Memaw, Brandon, Stephanie, Mason, and Logan joined in the fun!

And Ellie had a nice little chat with Santa at the end of the exhibit...

LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION, ELECTRIC BILLS!!!

As many know, Jason teaches computers and networking at Mid-South Community College. To show off his prowess at computer programming skills, he wired the house lights up to our laptop and created a music file. After Jimmy helped him create the display boxes for the instruments (resembling the instruments playing in the song), he set the whole thing in motion.

This is the result after several hours of listening to "I Saw Three Ships" and programming the computer to turn the lights on and off to the beats. Both videos are on YouTube and you will need to turn up your volume as the camera was recording the music coming from the car stereo speakers (yes...he even built an FM transmitter for the music and we broadcast on 87.7 FM).

By the way...Ellie loves to stomp around in the lights and talk to the " 'nomun"--her word for Snowman.

Zoo Boo

After the fun we had during the day on Saturday, we decided to brave the chilly night and go to the Zoo Boo. Lots of candy, carnival rides, and dancing!

Triple R Ranch

While Jason was at school on Saturday, Ellie and I had a fun day at the Triple R Ranch. With Memaw, Pepaw, Blaine, Milton, and Ethan, we took a little tour around the farm in a hay wagon, and it sure was windy.

Then, we stopped at the "mumpkey" patch, chose two pumpkins, and posed with the boys and a cat.

Next, we played "The Pumpkin Patch Game" where the kids had to hurry and pick up all the little plastic pumpkins and place them in the bigger plastic pumpkins. Fun, fun!!

We also visited with and fed the farm animals. Ellie was only slightly interested in the animals...she had spotted a slide off in the distance.

After we fed the animals, it was time to ride the horse. Ellie didn't patiently wait for her turn on the picnic table...she wandered off, looking for the slide.

Bite?

B-Day Party Ouchie

Saturday, we attended Katara's first birthday party, and Ellie received her first big forehead boo-boo. She was so focused on chasing a balloon across the floor that she walked right into the corner of the table. Ouch!

Later, she enjoyed a cupcake...

Elmo Stupor

Ellie likes to stand around and watch Elmo. She looks like she is in a mind-numbing stupor. After several hours, I am Elmo-drunk as well. I stumble around singing the theme song..."Elmo loves his goldfish, his crayon too, that's Elmo's World."

Words, Words, and More Words

This is some of our Power.Point slideshow that we go through most afternoons. We were multi-tasking because El.mo's World was playing on the TV and she was watching that as well.

The Good and the Bad...

After work/daycare today, Ellie and I took a little trip in the wagon to the park. She was fine on the way to the park, and she always enjoys sliding. However, the return trip was...well...not so great.

Timewarp Photo

Little did we know that our camera had the ability to see into the future. Oh well, it was her favorite saying after all. If you click on the picture, you can clearly read Julie's last words.
