Last Sunday, we loaded up and spent the afternoon in Memphis watching Toy Story with Ellie and Bailey. Ellie got to take along her Buzz and Woody dolls and eat popcorn out of her Toy Story Popcorn Cup (thanks, Memaw!).

So, now that Bailey is one week old, we thought we'd celebrate with some of the shots we have of Ellie and Bailey together with some others thrown in for good measure.

Bailey Lane Carr (Baby 2.0) is HERE!!!

Bailey Lane Carr made her sudden entrance into our little world at 1:23 pm, June 17, 2010. She weighed 7 lbs., 8 oz., and was 20 inches in height. Not to mention, she has a beautiful head of light-brown hair.

Although Carmen will fill everyone in on specifics later, I thought I'd share the news and some of the pics that we took of baby girl two.

PS...there is a fantastic, but long video of Ellie's first encounter with her new baby sister...however, we need a stupidly different cable to get that video onto our computer...so until then, the pics will have to do.

Baby Watch 2010

News from Wednesday's appointment:

BP: fine
Weight: down a pound
NST was fine...just very, very uncomfortable. Baby's heartrate was fine, and I am having small, irregular contractions
Cervix is now dilated to 3 cm
Induction scheduled...for tomorrow morning!!

After the nurse measured my cervix, the doctor came in and asked jokingly, "Well, what's the plan?" I said, "How about Friday?" He said that he wasn't planning to work on Friday :) He said, "How about tomorrow?" I told him that I wasn't ready for tomorrow...I have more cleaning and getting ready to do. He poohed-poohed that idea...he said that could wait! I said, "Well, what about next week?" He asked me what I was waiting for...a disaster? So, I agreed to be induced tomorrow. He asked, "Aren't you tired of sticking yourself?" I told him, "Nope, it was the NST machine that did me in."

Here's Lookin' At "Zoo," Kid!

Since Memorial Day weekend when we went to the zoo for member's night, Ellie has been asking to go to the zoo. She reiterates all the things she saw and did that night..."snake, train, ride airplane, ride boat, merry-go-round, see bear, etc."

So, we decided to brave the heat and go to the zoo today. Well...it was hot, but we had fun. Hopefully, all of the walking will get things moving on the Baby Watch 2010 front :)

She was really excited to see all the animals. All of the big cats were visible, but sleeping. She really enjoyed seeing all of them, but was ready to move on. She was afraid that they were going to bite her finger! We also saw the pandas, elephants, hippos, a rhino, sea lions, polar bears, and eagles. And of course, she had to ride the merry-go-round and get wet in the Teton Trek fountain. We finished up our visit by feeding the budgies in the bird exhibit and walking through the stinky night animals exhibit to see the big, yucky bugs.
