Lounging in her robe...

Feb. 28

All dressed and waiting on daddy to get home

Not a Happy Hippo

Unlike Logan and Mason, Ellie did not care for her hippo attire :)

She was still mad at me 10 minutes later...her look says, "Get this hat off of me...NOW!"

So, the next day we decided to see if she liked being a bear.
She didn't really notice the hat because she was too busy eating.

Smile :)

On Monday, Feb. 18th, she weighed 9 lb., 6 oz. She is still 20 inches. The doctor said that things looked good. We asked about the bumps on her face, and he confirmed what I already knew...it is baby acne and it comes from my hormones getting out of her body. We go back for shots when she is 2 months.

She has been smiling for about 2 weeks, but this was the first time I caught it with the camera.

If Anyone is Interested...

Now that Ellie is here, I know that she's the focus and all, but...
Since she has arrived, I have found it easier to slip into my old ways, and I have managed to find some of those pounds that I lost.

To counter this, I have set my sights on competing in and finishing the Mighty Mite Triathalon in July. The website is http://www.mightymite.racesonline.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=site.display&page_id=1694

It is basically a 1/3 mile swim, followed by a 13 mile bike ride in the horrible hills of Village Creek State Park, and ended with a lovely 3 mile run (ahem--that will probably be a run/walk for me...well, mostly walk).

One of last year's slowest times in the beginner category was set by a 71 year old man from Little Rock. Surely I can beat that...after all, he was from Little Rock. :)

Wish me luck...I've got lots of miles to ride and walk/run to get even close to being in shape for this one. By the way...does anyone have a pool where I can practice swimming?
