News From the Circus...
Ellie and I, along with 190 middle school kids and 10 teachers, took a little field trip down the road from the school...to the UniverSoul Circus. I attended last year and was anxious to take Ellie with me this year. So, I recruited my mother into going with me. Little did she know what she was getting into! It started with a drive to Memphis in rush hour traffic in the middle of the thunderstorm. Of course, Ellie slept through all that!
Ellie was clingy for most of the show. The ringleader's microphone was blaring and the music was loud. I think she was little bit shocked by all the noise and people. Momma and I passed her back and forth for most of the show...and she clung to Abby for dear life.

She tried a teeny little piece of cotton candy...and found that she didn't care for that! She also nibbled on a little piece of funnel cake, but that wasn't a hit either. But she did eat a little bit of her "otdog." The biggest hit was a chip covered in cheese dip that one of the students shared with her.
Then, during intermission, my mom decided to ride an elephant, and we threw Ellie up there with her. She really seemed to enjoy that!
My mom dropped her purse underneath the bleachers and had to reach down and get it. Yuck! At least that happened right when got there. Later, Ellie's sippy cup fell underneath the bleachers. I decided that it was just a lost cause because it was NASTY down there. But then as we were leaving, a student had dropped her glasses so she was under the bleachers searching for them. One of the circus performers was helping her look and he had a flashlight. So...I climbed underneath the bleachers to retrieve the sippy cup....after all...it was new and I was loving it because it didn't leak! So...we found the sippy but not the glasses. Double Yuck!
Of course, we had to come home and bathe! Cheese, elephant, sawdust on the floor, cotton candy, funnel cake, hotdog, Coke, CIRCUS....Blech!!!

One Track Mind
Right now, it is all Se.same St.reet, all the time. She has a strong infatuation with El.mo, but she likes Big B.ird, Ernie, and Abby as well.

Yep...all three of her new D.ora big girl p.anties at one time.
And she can't quite say D.ora...it sounds more like We-Ra.
